Jonathan, RVT, VTS (ECC), Emergency Dept. Manager

Jonathan started working in veterinary medicine as an assistant in general practice in 1992 followed by an emergency clinic 6 years later where he worked for 16 yrs. He attained his credentials as an Registered Veterinary Technician in California in 2006 with the intent to also specialize in Emergency and Critical Care. In 2007 he began working at a 24hr specialty practice in Orange County in an effort to gain the necessary knowledge and experience to apply to the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT). He gained further experience by working with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), a mode of dialysis for Acute Kidney Injury, and long term therapeutic mechanical ventilation. His interests include, but are not limited to, acid/base, advanced anesthesia/analgesia, mechanical ventilation, shock and transfusion medicine. Following several years of study, he passed his boards in 2010, achieving his Veterinary Technician Specialty in Emergency and Critical Care, VTS (ECC).

Jonathan has volunteered his time as a member of the AVECCT Examination and Mentoring Committees and has also served on the Appeals Committee. He has authored and contributed a chapter on ocular emergencies in The Technicians Manual for Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care. Jonathan has lectured nationally and locally and attends continuing education conferences on a yearly basis. He is also certified in Veterinary CPR: Basic Life Support. Jonathan lives in Los Angeles with his three dogs and four cats. Much of his free time is spent going to concerts, museums, the beach and simply just relaxing with a good book.

Halley, Veterinary Assistant, Emergency Dept. Manager

Halley was born and raised in the Inland Empire. She has been in working in the veterinary field since 2008. She started working in general practice but found that her passion was for emergency and critical care. Halley would like to get her RVT license and pursue a VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialty) in emergency and critical care. She has 2 dogs, a Pitbull named Jordan, and a Maltipoo named Logan. She also has 2 cats, an 18-year-old named Angel and a 2-year old named Rogue. In her spare time, she loves going to concerts, experimenting with makeup and hair, and she also will model from time to time.

Kristine, RVT, VTS (ECC), ICU Shift Lead

Kristine was born in New Jersey but grew up in the San Fernando Valley and Simi Valleys. Kristine has been working in the veterinary field since 1994. She is an RVT and just recently got her VTS in emergency and critical care in 2019. She joined the MASH emergency and critical care team in January 2020. Her goals are to use her knowledge and skill to minimize patient fear and maximize patient comfort. She also wants to teach all that encompasses emergency and especially critical care to the MASH emergency team. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, go to the beach and be outdoors, also enjoy good food and wine.

Noemi, RVTg, Shift Lead

Noemi was born in Los Angeles and raised in Baldwin Park CA. She graduated in 2017 from the Animal Health Science Program at Cal Poly Pomona and received her Bachelors in Animal Health Science. She obtained her RVT license a few months after graduating. She has been in the veterinary field since 2014 and has worked in small animal practice and most recently spent the last few years in emergency and critical care where she found her passion in emergency medicine. She has 2 tortoiseshell cats named Mimosa and Midori, a chihuahua named Roman and a miniature poodle named Barbie. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, working out and binge watch shows on Netflix.

Laura, RVT, Shift Lead

Laura was born and raised in Carson, CA. She has been in the veterinary field since 2010. Laura is a RVT and has worked in specialty her whole career. She also has five years of experience working with exotics. Her goal is to continue to work as an RVT, while also working part time as an ultrasound tech. She has a Bachelors in Biology from Cal State Dominguez Hills and obtained her RVT from Carrington College. Laura has a lab mix named Joe Joe and a Husky mix named Lola. She has seven cats: Diggy, Buddha, Peluda, Weezie, D’Angelo, Boots and Yuki. She also has two lionhead rabbits named Gummy Bear and Gonzo. In her free time, she likes to run, hike, go to concerts, go to movies, and explore new restaurants.

Carlos, VA, Shift Lead

Carlos was born and raised in Glendale, CA. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2002. He has worked as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. His goal is to become an RVT. He has a Domestic shorthair named Slim Jim, a Maine Coon named Stewie, an orange tabby named Rusty, an orange tabby named Beezy and a Chihuahua tripod named Knubby. When not working, Carlos likes to build RC scale model trucks (crawlers), hiking, gardening, volunteer at his church and he’s a big foodie!

Omar, RVT

Omar was born and raised in Long Beach, California. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2002. Omar has experience working in surgery and intensive care units. He also works in shelter medicine. Omar joined the MASH emergency team in June 2020. His goals are to continue to work with furry pets and continue to learn. He has a chihuahua named Roxy. In his free time, you can find him at car shows with his kids!

Lorraine, RVT

Lorraine was born and raised in Carson, CA. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. She started out as a Technician Assistant in general practice and then obtained her RVT and has worked in emergency and internal medicine. Her goal is to continue to grow in the veterinary field in both knowledge, practice, and skill. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cal State Dominguez Hills. She has 2 mixed breed dogs Mimi and Boogy. She also has several black cats. In her free time, she likes outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and running, as well as, eating and relaxing with her furry kids.

China, RVT

China was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. She has worked her way up from a receptionist to an RVT. She has a AS in Veterinary Technology from Pierce College. She joined the MASH emergency team in November 2020. Her goals are to become an event planner and possibly go back to school for pharmacology. China has a long-haired Chihuahua named Bob and a DSH named Binti. In her free time, she likes to event plan and roller skate.

Alexis, RVT

Alexis was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. She has been living in Los Angeles since 2005. Alexis has been in the veterinary field since 2008. She has worked her way up from reception to an RVT. She has worked in general practice and specialty medicine. Alexis’s goal is to get her VTS in Emergency and critical care. She has three horses, six goats, three dogs (two Pitbulls and a pug), three cats, one rabbit, and a Macaw. When not working, Alexis likes to hike, ride horses, kayak, fish, mountain bike and ride motorcycles.

Mercedes, RVT

cedes is originally from Chicago, IL but grew up most of her life in Los Angeles. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2008. She has worked in general practice, specialty, emergency, exotics, and wildlife. She joined the MASH emergency team in November 2020. Mercedes goal is to work in wildlife rehabilitation. She graduated from Piece Colleges Veterinary Technician Program. She has a Terrier mix named BB8, a Persian cat named Nymphadora, a DSH named Otis, and Bengal cat named Ely and two ferrets named Weasley and Stitch. In her free time, she likes to bake/cook, do photography, hike/camp/backpack, read, get tattoos, play video games, travel, go to the beach and go to Disneyland!

Fabian, RVT

Fabian was born in Puruandiro, Mexico and moved to Los Angeles in the early 90’s. Fabian has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. He has worked in general practices, surgery, and internal medicine as a technician assistant. He joined the MASH emergency team in March 2021. His goal is to obtain his RVT soon. He will be sitting for his RVT boards in March 2021. His main goal is to obtain his DVM. He has a Chihuahua named Cholula, who is his living doorbell, and a Bulldog/Shih-Tzu named Luna, who is built like a nightclub bouncer. In Fabian’s free time, he loves to watch movies and read books of the sci-fi, action, thriller, suspense, and comedy genres. He also enjoys cooking, as much as he enjoys eating, and likes to brew beer. Fabian is always up to try new things and his motto is that “adventures are good for the soul!”

Ryleigh, RVT

Ryleigh was born in Michigan, and after living in Austin, Texas, moved to Los Angeles in 2021. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2013. Ryleigh has worked her way up from being a receptionist to technician assistant to RVT. She has worked in both general practice and specialty/emergency veterinary medicine. She has an Associated of Applied Science Veterinary Technician from Lone Star College. Her goal is to get her VTS in emergency and critical care. When not working, Ryleigh likes to go to the beach, hike, work out, cook, and craft.

Daniel, RVT

Daniel was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2016. Daniel has been working in emergency / critical care and oncology. His goal is to go into human radiology. He has a Bassett Hound named Trusty and a Cockapoo named Gordon Ramsey. In his free time, he likes to eat, binge watch television shows, and go for hikes!

Dayna, Emergency Triage Lead

Dayna was born and raised in Pasadena, California. Dayna has been working in the veterinary field since 2001. She has over 12 years of experience in general practice medicine and over 7 years of experience in emergency and critical care. She joined the MASH emergency and critical care team in January of 2018. She has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science/Pre-vet Med from Cal Poly Pomona University. Dayna is driven by emergency and critical care medicine because she gets to be a part of a team of fast responding critical care Dr’s and techs that help patients defeat all odds against them and reunite them with their owners after debilitating disease, injury or trauma. Dayna plans on pursuing the alternative route program to earn her RVT and wants to obtain her VTS in Emergency and Critical Care medicine in the next two years. In her free time, she enjoys taking her four kids to the beach and spending lots of time at family gatherings; cooking, laughing, and playing music. She has a 6-year-old cat named Meow Meow, a 2-year-old Rottweiler named Kapone, and two one year old guinea pigs named Peanut and Sugar.

Chelsea, Veterinary Assistant, Shift Lead

Chelsea was born and raised in Los Angeles. Chelsea has been working in veterinary field since 2011. Before joining the MASH team, she worked with avian and exotics. Chelsea’s goal is to get her RVT license and get her VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialty) in emergency and critical care. She has a passion for wolf conservation efforts and has been volunteering at APEX Protection Project for 9 years caring for the wolf-dog pack. She has a tortoise named JB, and a dog named Bullet. In her spare time, Chelsea likes to play basketball, travel and work out.

Angie, Veterinary Assistant, Emergency, Shift Lead

Angie was born and raised in New York. She moved to Los Angeles 3 years ago because she has always loved the weather here and for a new experience. She has been in the veterinary field for 12 years. Angie is going to obtain her RVT soon and her goal is to become a lead/manage a department. She has 2 dogs, a Pit bull named Jordan, and a Maltipoo named Logan. She also has 2 cats, an 18-year-old named Angel and a 2-year old named Rogue. Angie loves the outdoors, camping, watching sports, and going to music concerts.

Lily, Veterinary Assistant, Shift Lead

Lily earned a degree in Biochemistry from the University of California in Santa Barbara. She worked five years in pharmaceutical and oncological research before transitioning to the veterinary field. She has two beautiful cats and a wonderful service dog. In her free time, she co-operates a home-based pet care business. She strives to provide her patients with compassionate care.

Jesse, Veterinary Assistant, Shift Lead

Jessie was born and raised in Los Angeles. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. He has worked in general practice, surgery, and emergency. However, his passion is for emergency and critical care veterinary medicine. He likes the knowledge that he gains from all the different cases, the actual patient care, and cultivating client relationships. Jessie joined the MASH emergency and critical care team in July 2018. Jesus recently finished the veterinary technician alternative route plan at Platt College. He plans to take the licensing test soon and become an RVT. Jessie has two dogs, a 3-year-old Cocker Spaniel/ Poodle mix named Dominic, and an 8-year-old Pomeranian/ Yorkie mix named Giselle. In his free time, he likes to watch soccer and other sports, go snowboarding in the winter, take long trips, and spend time with family.

Stephanie, Veterinary Assistant

Stephanie was born and raised in Los Angeles. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2000. She started out in general practice veterinary medicine but found that her passion was in emergency medicine. Stephanie joined the MASH emergency team in February 2019. Her goal is to become a registered veterinary technician. She has a 4-year-old Chiweenie named Jelly. She also enjoys rehabbing wildlife and currently has a squirrel named Lucky. When she has free time, she likes to be in nature and hike in the surrounding LA mountains. She also enjoys being with friends and family.

Jessica, Veterinary Assistant

Jessica was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA (Go birds!). She moved to Los Angeles in 2014. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. She has worked as a doctor’s assistant and veterinary assistant. She is currently working on obtaining her RVT and a certificate in feline behavior and training. She has 2 cats, Neuman and Dante. In her free time, she likes to watch true crime shows, try different restaurants and spend time with her cats.

Cesar, Veterinary Assistant, Shift Lead

Cesar was born and raised in San Bernardino, CA. Cesar started volunteering with animals when he was 16 years old but has been working in the veterinary field since 2011. He has worked at a high volume spay/neuter clinic, general practice, and emergency. Cesar joined the MASH emergency team in September 2020. Cesar will be sitting for the Veterinary Technician National exam in December to become an RVT. His goal is to eventually go back to school to finish his prerequisites to get into the Registered Nursing program. Cesar has a 170-pound Saint Bernard named Sully, a Chihuahua named Tiki, and a DSH named Thomas. When not working, Cesar likes to cruise the streets of LA and Santa Monica, sightseeing and listening to Rihanna. He also likes to watch television shows and he recently become a gym person.

Gary, Veterinary Assistant

Gary was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years. Gary has a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. Gary loves what he does and wants to continue working in the veterinary field especially in emergency medicine. He has a Chihuahua cross named Lala, a Savannah cat named Afeni, and a Bengal cat named Walkenstien. When not working, you can find Gary fishing.

Doug, Veterinary Assistant

Doug was born and raised in Bloomington, California. He recently made a switch in careers to veterinary medicine. He joined the MASH emergency team in June 2019. Doug is excited about being in the veterinary field and his goal is to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Doug has a 10-year-old Pitbull mix named Cain and a cat named Bruce. When not working, he likes to relax and play video games.

Thelma, Veterinary Assistant

Thelma is originally from El Salvador but moved to Los Angeles when she was 6 years old. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2013 as a doctor’s assistant and a technician assistant. She joined the MASH Emergency team in March 2020. Thelma is currently working on obtaining her RVT from Penn Foster. After getting her RVT she would like to continue to get a bachelor’s degree. She has a Shiba Inu named Kenji and a Poodle mix named Fluffy. When not working, she loves partaking in outdoor activities: hiking, camping, rock climbing, etc. She also likes to spend time with family and friends, as well as, hang out with her pets and find delicious vegan foods to eat.

Cristina, Veterinary Assistant

Cristina was born and raised in Los Angeles, California (Go Dodgers!). She has been working in the veterinary field since 2017. She has worked as a receptionist and veterinary technician assistant in general practice and in emergency. She is super excited to join the MASH emergency team and advance her emergency skills. Her goal is to obtain her RVT and get into zoo/wildlife medicine at either the LA Zoo or the Zoological Department. Cristina has two Associate degrees, one in Veterinary Technology and one in Social Science. She has a Maltese cross named Lucy and a Ball Python named Coco. When Cristina is not working, she is out hiking chasing waterfalls, running along the beach, checking out new coffee shops, hanging out with her family for game nights, and binge watching The Office on Netflix repeatedly.

Britany, Veterinary Assistant

Britany was born and raised in Los Angeles. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2014. She has worked reception and veterinary assistant in both general practice and emergency. Her goal is to pass the VTNG and become a RVT very soon! She has a Associates in Animal Sciences from Platt College. She has an American Bulldog named Rusty, a mix named Spike, and a Conure named Pineapple. In her free time, she loves to watch movies and go to the beach.

Alexa, Veterinary Assistant

Alexa was born and raised in Glendale, CA. This is Alexa’s first time working in a veterinary hospital. since finishing school. She has worked with animals though for many years. She is currently waiting to finish/pass her exit exam at school and will then officially have her A.S. in Veterinary Technology. Her goal is to become an RVT and hopefully specialize in Neurology since her biggest interested in in that department. She has a German Shepard/Malinois cross named Maddi, a Husky cross named Hendrix, two Boston Terriers, Gordo and Ollie, and a Chihuahua named Pinky. In her free time, she likes to hike, explore the outdoors, whether it be with her dogs or alone, and just enjoy nature. She is always looking for new hiking spots and if it has a waterfall, that’s always a plus in her book.

Cristian, Veterinary Assistant

Cristian was born and raised in Los Angeles. Cristian has been working in the veterinary field since 2016. He has worked in reception and has worked as a veterinary assistant in surgery and emergency. His goal is to become a firefighter/paramedic. He has an Associates in Fire Tech from East Los Angeles College. Cristian has two Pitbull’s named Mona and Canelo. He also has two cats named Figaro and Silvester. In his free time, he likes to strength train and condition. He really likes different competitive sports and recently he picked up boxing. He also likes to binge watch funny shows and learn new crafts. He is a handyman at heart, a jack of 1000 trades, master of none.

Maria, Veterinary Assistant

Maria is a Los Angeles native, but spent the last three years in Portland, OR. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2012. She has worked as a veterinary assistant at emergency and at a zoo. Her goal is to become a political scientist/attorney. She is currently in school working on her political science bachelor’s at Portland University. Maria has a Jack Russel Terrier named Luna, a Pomeranian mix named Miyuki, an Aussie mix named Cody, and a French Bulldog named Olympia. In her free time, she likes to hike and sleep!

Shelene, Veterinary Assistant

Shelene was born and raised in Norwalk, CA. She recently moved back to California after living in Hawaii. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2010. Shelene has worked as receptionist and technician assistant in ICU, ER, surgery, oncology, and internal medicine specialty services. Her goal is to become an RVT. She has a French Bulldog named Kobe Bean. In her free time, Shelene likes to spend time with her dog, work out and eat good food.

Sean, Veterinary Assistant

Sean was born and raised in North Hollywood, CA. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2019 as a technician assistant in general practice. His goal is to become a Veterinarian and specialize in exotics (birds) or surgery. Sean has a Bachelors in French and Biology from Amherst College. He has a Shih Tzu named Oso. In his free time, he likes to run, bake, practice languages, and do puzzles (Sudokus). He hopes to start volunteering with a wildlife rehab soon.

Tommy, Veterinary Assistant

Tommy was born and raised in Compton, California. Tommy has been working in the veterinary field since 2009. He has always worked in emergency medicine. Tommy joined the MASH emergency team in February 2021. He has a Cavapoo named Teddy and a French Bulldog named Gizmo. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, or playing basketball.

Sacha, Veterinary Assistant

Sacha was born and raised in Pomona, CA. She has been working in the veterinary field on and off since 2016 in general practice. Her goal is to apply to veterinary school this year and become a veterinarian. Sacha has an Associates in Science Veterinary Technology. She also is currently pursuing a bachelor’s in agriculture science. She has an American Bulldog named Stella. When not working, Sacha is traveling.

Raquel, Veterinary Assistant

Raquel is originally from Temecula, California, and lives in Corona. She has been in the veterinary field since 2015, and has worked in general practice, emergency/critical care, and ophthalmology. Raquel joined the MASH emergency team in 2021. Her goal is to obtain her RVT and possibly specialize in cardiology. Raquel has a Siberian Husky named Willow. In her free time, she likes to train for the next marathon challenge, go to the park with Willow, practice kickboxing, binge watch Forensic Files, and do woodworking.

Natalie, Veterinary Assistant

Natalie was born and raised in Harbor City, Los Angeles. As of September this year, she has worked 8 years in the veterinary field. She has been a Lead Tech Shift Supervisor, and Hospital Manager and joined the Mash Emergency team as ER Vet Assistant. Natalie plans to finish school and pass the VTNE by the end of the year. She has a 5-year-old Great Dane named Halley and a 13-year-old “small fluffy blonde thing” named Scosh. In her free time you might run into her trying new bars and restaurants or hanging out with her dogs.

Mark, Veterinary Assistant

Mark was born in Buffalo, NY, but grew up on the gulf coast of Florida. He has been living in Athens, GA since 1983, and recently moved to Los Angeles. Mark has been working in the veterinary field since 1999. He has worked as an RVT in radiology, emergency and critical care, as well as neurology. Mark’s goal is to become recertified in the state of California. Mark has an AS in ABAC, a Bachelor of Science from Piedmont College in Psychology, and a Masters in Policy and Management from University of Georgia. He has a DSH named Max. In his free time, Mark likes to listen / play music, work on turntables, play guitar, and shop for vinyl/CDs.

Jenn, Doctor’s Assistant Supervisor

Jenn was born and raised in Los Angeles. Before moving into the veterinary field in 2017, she was a human ultrasound technician. She would love to cross train in both the human and animal fields. Her goal is to be able to do ultrasounds on animals. Jenn has three dogs, Athena, a chow, Bunny, a chow, and Chewy a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix. When not working, Jenn likes to hike, travel, and read.

Jessika, Doctor’s Assistant

Jessika is a Southern California native. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2017. She has worked as a receptionist and a technician assistant at general practice prior to working at MASH. Jessika joined the MASH emergency team in October 2019. Jessika’s has an Associates in Psychology and is currently working on her Bachelors. Her goal is to become a psychiatric technician. She has a Husky mix named Bruno, a German Shephard named Chubs, a Siberian Husky named Balto, and a cat named Tiger. When not working, Jessika enjoys hiking with her dogs, bike riding and binge-watching documentaries.

Tiffany, Doctors Assistant

Tiffany was born and raised in Pasadena, CA. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2018. She has worked in reception in general practice and is overly excited to start working as a doctor’s assistant in MASH’s emergency department. Tiffany’s goal is to go to school to become an RVT. She has a Chihuahua Terrier mix named Rudy. When not working, Tiffany likes to hang out with her son and her family/friends.

Bryan, Doctors Assistant

Bryan was born and raised in Queens, NY. Bryan moved to Los Angeles at the beginning of 2020. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2014. He was working at the ASPCA in New York in a multitude of departments as a veterinary assistant. Bryan joined to MASH emergency team in September 2020. His goal is to become an RVT soon. He has a teaching English certificate from when he was lining and working in Barcelona, Spain. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and doing pretty much anything outdoors.

Teresa, Doctor's Assistant

Teresa was born and raised in Pasadena, California. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2019, working as a receptionist in general practice. Teresa joined the MASH emergency team in 2021. Her goal is to become a human EKG/EGG technician and certified phlebotomist. She has a rabbit named Lola. In her free time, Teresa enjoys spending time with her children, going on hikes, and taking walks with her daughter.

Cindy, Doctor's Assistant

Cindy is a Los Angeles native. She has been in the veterinary field since 2014, and has worked as a receptionist, doctor’s assistant, and technician assistant in general practice. She joined the MASH oncology team in August 2020. Cindy is currently working to complete her Bachelor’s in Public Health, and aims to earn her Masters. She has a Lynx Point Siamese named Pepper and a mixed breed named Itsy. When Cindy is not working, she likes to do anything that involves the outdoors and reading.

Jocelyn, Doctor’s Assistant

Jocelyn is a Southern California native. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015 as a receptionist in general practice. Jocelyn joined the MASH emergency team in May 2021. Her goal is to become a human registered nurse. She has three cats: Bella, Panda, and Panther; and a dog named Roxy. In her free time, Jocelyn likes to hike, enjoy the beach, and have family nights!

Roberto, Technician Assistant

Roberto is a Southern California native. This is Roberto’s first time working in the veterinary field and he is excited to start to learn! Roberto joined the MASH emergency team in March 2021. His goal in life is to acquire multiple family rental properties. In his free time, Roberto loves to read personal growth books, he also likes to take car photos and edit them.

Angelica, Technician Assistant

Angelica was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. She has never worked in veterinary field before, but she is excited to join the MASH emergency team. Angelica plans on going to college and majoring in Business or Psychology. She also is interested in OB/GYN. She has a Pomchi mix named Oreo. When not working, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring the outdoors, and taking care of her niece.

Henry, Technician Assistant

Henry is a Los Angeles native. This is Henry’s first time working in the veterinary field and he is excited to work in different positions to find out what position suits him best. Henry joined the MASH emergency team in January 2021. He has a Pomeranian Chihuahua mix named Roger. In his free time, Henry likes to listen to music, play games, read comics, and watch movies.

Deneen, Technician Assistant

Deneen was born and raised in Norwalk, CA. This is Deneen’s first time working in the veterinary field and she is excited to learn. Her goal is to advance positions in this field and learn as much as she can. She has certificates from Cypress College in Human Services Generalist, Family studies, and Addiction studies. She has a Cocker Spaniel. In Deneen’s free time, she really enjoys reading.

David, Technician Assistant

David was born and raised in Rosemead, CA. He has been working in the veterinary field since 2009. He has worked at a veterinary assistant in general practice and emergency medicine. David joined the MASH emergency team in August 2020. His personal goal is to obtain his RVT before his 35th birthday. David has two Pomeranians, Trixie and Mia, and a Chihuahua named Peewee. He also has two cats, a DSH named Sir Martin and a Calico named Apple. When not working, David likes to go hiking, eat and hang out with his family. Much of his time is taken up by being a brand-new dad! Alex says that it is a blessing to have his little one in his life.

Vivian, Technician Assistant

Vivian was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. This is Vivian’s first time working in the veterinary field, but she has volunteered at a general practice since 2017. She also has volunteered in emergency, cardiology, dental and surgery departments. Vivian joined the MASH emergency team in September 20202. Vivian just completed the veterinary technician program at Platt College and will be sitting for the VTNE soon to become a RVT. Her dream is to become a veterinarian someday. She is fear free certified. Vivian has a Fawn Pug named Cooper. When not working, Vivian likes to binge watch TV shows, movies, and documentaries. She also likes to cook, bike, crochet, go to the beach, hike, and learn about astrology.

Mariana, Pharmacy/Laboratory Technician

Mariana was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. This is Mariana’s first veterinary job, but does have experience compounding veterinary medications. While the veterinary field is not her main goal, she does want to work in Psychology field and be able to work with kids and families someday. She is currently in school for this. In her free time, she like to spend time with her son drawing.

Janneth, Pharmacy/Laboratory Technician

Janneth was born in El Salvador, but grey up in Los Angeles. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015. She has worked as a receptionist, pharmacy tech, veterinary technician assistant, inventory manager all in general practice. She joined the MASH emergency team in March 2021. Her goal is to obtain her RVT. She has a Business Office Administration degree from UEI. Janneth has a recue Chihuahua mix named Dante, a Pitbull named Luna, and a French Bulldog named Fendi. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, cook and run.
