Emergency Department Veterinarian

Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital is a 24-Hour specialty and emergency animal hospital located in the heart of Hollywood, California. We are looking for a friendly, qualified veterinarian to join our emergency department team. MASH is a brand-new specialty and emergency animal hospital. We offer specialty and emergency veterinary services and have specialty veterinarians in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, nutrition, and emergency and critical care and we also house a dentistry department. MASH is a newly constructed hospital housing new surgery suites, appointment rooms, treatment areas, and state-of-the-art equipment. MASH is eager to provide the Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles community with the highest quality specialty and emergency veterinary medicine.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, honest, helpful and communicate effectively with their team. We encourage growth and innovation and have a new facility with cutting-edge equipment to support our doctors. The selected applicant will be expected to provide emergency consultation and treatment services to the clients/patients they see. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of practice experience, internship trained and excellent clinical skills. You must be confident in your abilities and communicate well with clients and referring veterinarians. Our specialists and ER doctors are supported by an amazing group of technicians and highly-trained client service representatives. Our emergency department has the support of the other specialty departments in our hospital as well.

Emergency/Critical Care Veterinary Technician

Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH) is a new 24-Hour specialty and emergency animal hospital located in the heart of Hollywood, California. We are looking for friendly, qualified veterinary technicians to join our emergency and critical care department team. We offer an emergency and critical care service as well as internal medicine and surgery. MASH is a newly constructed hospital housing new surgery suites, appointment rooms, treatment areas, and state-of-the-art equipment. MASH is eager to provide the Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles community with the highest quality specialty and emergency and critical care veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of veterinary technician experience. Credentialed veterinary technicians and those pursuing their VTS are encouraged to apply. Mentoring and support during your VTS application will be available. Candidates should be friendly, courteous, and able to multi-task. Team players, who take initiative with their position, and are compassionate with our patients and clients are required. Technicians are expected to follow the directions and guidance of our veterinarians. Candidates should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with our clients.

  • Blood Draw
  • patient restraint (including felines) for ultrasound, radiographs, venipuncture
  • Medically able to take radiographs (no medical condition barring them from radiology)
  • Physically able and WILLING TO lift up to 40 lbs.

We offer specialty and emergency veterinary services and have specialty veterinarians in oncology, dentistry, nutrition, surgery, internal medicine, dermatology and emergency and critical care. MASH is a newly constructed hospital housing new surgery suites, appointment rooms, treatment areas, and state-of-the-art equipment. MASH is eager to provide the Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles community with the highest quality specialty and emergency veterinary medicine.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of veterinary technician experience and be comfortable performing and assisting during dental procedures. Candidates should be able to work independently and under busy schedules. Candidates should also be comfortable discussing medications, and treatments with clients as well as following up with their inquiries. Candidates should be professional, friendly, courteous, able to multi-task. Candidates should have basic computer skills and organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills (knowledge of Cornerstone a big plus).

Candidates should have basic computer skills and organizational skills as well as excellent communication and customer service capabilities. The ideal candidate must love animals and be comfortable working around them.
