Veterinary Receptionist (Emergency & Critical Care)

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of veterinary technician experience in oncology and chemotherapy administration. RVT preferred. Candidates should be able to work under busy schedules where good communication is key. You must be comfortable discussing medications, treatments, and estimates with clients, as well as following up with their inquiries. You should be professional, friendly, courteous, and be able to prioritize. Candidates should have good computer and organizational skills, with knowledge of Cornerstone a big plus. The shifts are four 10-hour days, which include one weekend day.

Veterinary Technician (Triage Lead)

Requirements: Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant with at least 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine

Reports to: DVM, Shift Lead, Department Managers, Owners

Job Overview: The role of Triage Veterinary Technician or Triage Veterinary Assistant at MASH encompasses many aspects. Patient care is our priority and supersedes all else. Individuals are expected to be compassionate, understanding, and knowledgeable in Veterinary Technology. They are expected to perform many tasks from placing an IVC in a critical patient to cleaning up diarrhea. They are also expected to be able to interact with clients on a daily basis from providing estimates to going over final care paperwork.

When downtime is present, the triage tech should first make sure the triage daily checklist is complete (i.e. stocking the triage area and crash carts), then should float through the service completing treatments, working on hospitalized patients and other duties as assigned by their lead tech.

One quality that is important for this role is the ability to oversee a busy emergency case load. This means the ability to delegate yourself and other technicians to perform triage, diagnostics, and treatments first in more critical emergency patients and second in order of arrival.
