Acupuncture/Physical Therapy

Dr. Shyvonne Mathias, DVM, MS, CVAT, CCRT is available for consultations on Thursdays and Fridays.

While there are a variety of techniques available depending on the circumstances, here are a few that we provide:

Acupuncture – This treatment can be beneficial for cats and dogs and treats many conditions. Dr. Mathias’ role and focus is helping with pain management. These conditions can include arthritis, intervertebral disk disease or back pain, cranial cruciate ligament ruptures, medial patellar luxation, and more. This includes dry needles and electrical stimulation acupuncture.

NEW! Cold Laser Therapy – Here at MASH we’re happy to announce that we are now offering cold laser therapy! Depending on the area and the size being treated, this treatment can be quick and a less stressful option for some of our pets. Cold laser therapy helps with chronic and acute pain, stimulates the healing of damaged tissues, and promotes anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, our laser unit can also provide laser acupuncture for our friends who are needle-shy!

**Coming Soon: Physical Rehabilitation!**
